A native Rhode Islander, who served as Treasurer of the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame for over 20 years. His academic background started at LaSalle Academy and then on to Boston College where he earned his BS degree with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. After college he continued his studies in the financial arena earning the designation as a Certified Public Accountant,
Utilizing his financial background, he gained employment with the CPA firm of Haskins and Sells (later known as Deloitte Touché) a well-known international accounting firm; Brown University as their financial system associate controller, working with the installation of their financial computer system, in its infancy. He ended his working career after opening his own CPA firm servicing individuals and small to medium size businesses for a period of over 30 years.
Association with the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame and its fellow Board members is a delight, in and of itself. The effort put into the review of the backgrounds and accomplishments of the candidates for induction into the Hall of Fame is second to none. Board members are truly exemplary!
