Harry Pezzullo, 1912-2015, a native of Barrington, was a highly respected golf professional for 57 years. He played on the PGA Tour, and became Golf Director at the prestigious JDM Country Club in West Palm Beach, FL. He was named “Golf Professional of the Year” in 1958, and served as Vice President of the PGA of America for three years. He was a pioneer of the first televised golf program produced and aired in the Chicago area, and at the age of 82 was still a golfing legend. He died in his sleep at his home in Florida in 2005.
